How we handle website enquiries and any introductions you choose to request.

Who is responsible

David Cockrum, operating Cockrum.com, is responsible for the enquiry information collected through Residency Atlas. For questions, rights requests or to withdraw consent, email david@cockrum.io. This notice applies to this website and our enquiry and introduction process.

What we collect and why

The enquiry form asks for your first name, email, country of residence, country of interest and questions. A last name, how you heard about us and an indication of interest in an introduction are optional. We record the submission, its date and associated source information to respond to you and retain an accurate history of your request.

We rely on your consent for handling the enquiry information as described in the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. We may retain a limited record where needed for a legal obligation or for our legitimate interests in documenting permissions, protecting the service and addressing disputes. Please do not send passport numbers, bank details or sensitive supporting documents through the enquiry form.

Contacting us directly

Calls, emails and messages sent using our contact links go to the person you choose: David Cockrum or Miroslav Metodiev. Your chosen recipient receives the information you share and uses it to respond to your enquiry. Please leave out passport numbers, bank details and confidential documents.

David may manually record enquiries he handles, including the original request, its date and channel, and relevant follow-up in HubSpot. The contact links do not automatically copy your conversation into HubSpot or forward it to a product provider. Contacting either person does not authorize a provider introduction; that requires separate permission as described below.

WhatsApp is a separate service with its own privacy policy. A WhatsApp link opens a conversation with your chosen contact; it does not send a message for you.

Who receives the information

Website form enquiries are handled in Cockrum.com’s HubSpot account and notified to David Cockrum. HubSpot provides the form and customer-relationship service. Service providers that deliver, host or secure the website may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs. Access to enquiry information is for responding to your request and administering this process.

Separate permission for an introduction

An enquiry or an expression of interest is not permission to share your details with an external adviser or product provider. Before an introduction, we will identify the provider by name, its location, its privacy notice, the reason for the introduction and the precise information to be sent. We request a separate choice for each provider.

Where needed, the proposed referral information is your name, email, nationality and country of residence. Nationality is not required by the initial enquiry form. You can decline an introduction. No investment or service commitment is made by submitting an enquiry.

Cookies and technical services

We do not add advertising pixels or the HubSpot website tracking script. Opening the enquiry form loads HubSpot and Google reCAPTCHA services, which may process technical information and use cookies for form delivery and spam prevention. Google confirms that reCAPTCHA sets a security cookie when used. The website host also processes information needed to deliver and secure the website.

Read HubSpot’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. Google’s Terms of Service apply to reCAPTCHA.

Optional website analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand visits and improve the website. The Tag Manager container and Analytics load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Declining does not prevent you from reading the guides or using the enquiry form. You can change your choice using “Analytics settings” in the footer.

Analytics may receive page visits, device and browser information and a count when HubSpot confirms a successful enquiry submission. We separately count clicks on email, telephone and WhatsApp links using only the contact channel and its location on the website; a click does not mean a message was sent or an enquiry completed. We remove query strings and fragments from the page address supplied to Analytics and supply only the referring website’s origin. To understand how readers find the guides, we accept only fixed, approved source, medium and campaign labels from tagged links, including a fixed ChatGPT referral label. Other campaign values and URL parameters are discarded. We do not send contact-link destinations, enquiry answers, names, email addresses, nationality or HubSpot contact identifiers to Analytics. We do not use this setup for advertising or personalized advertising.

We store your analytics choice in this browser. If you withdraw permission, we stop further Analytics measurement, attempt to remove Analytics cookies accessible to this website, and reload the page with Analytics off. Withdrawal cannot remove measurements already sent. The separate HubSpot and Google reCAPTCHA form services described above may still operate when Analytics is declined.

Google may process Analytics data outside your country. Read Google’s privacy policy and Google Analytics data safeguards. Our use of optional Analytics relies on your consent.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. HubSpot describes its processing arrangements and international-transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Agreement. Contact us if you need more information about the providers used for your enquiry.

How long records are kept

We keep enquiry records while responding to your request and for as long as reasonably necessary to document the enquiry, your permissions and any requested introduction. The retention decision takes account of whether your enquiry remains active, the need to resolve questions or disputes and any applicable legal recordkeeping requirements. Information no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to review or delete your record.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, or ask us to restrict or stop its use. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to object, portability and to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it; we will explain this when relevant.

Enquiring does not sign you up for newsletters or automated marketing sequences. Withdrawing permission for an introduction stops future sharing based on that permission; it cannot recall information already lawfully sent. Contact david@cockrum.io to exercise these choices.
